About me

I’ve been married to my wife, Sharon, since 2014, and together we have two amazing kids, Zoe and Levi, who keep us on our toes.

Since 2021, I’ve served as the Transformation Pastor at Soul City Church in Chicago, IL. I stepped into ministry in 2015 as the High School Pastor at the Vineyard Church of Central Illinois, later transitioning into the role of Community Life Pastor until 2021.

I’ve been following Jesus seriously since 2009—though I grew up in the church, it wasn’t until college that my faith became real to me. Through undeniable encounters with God’s love and Holy Spirit’s presence, I reached a point where I couldn’t do anything else but say "yes" to the mission He was calling me into. I’ve been on that journey ever since.

Hip-hop, spoken word, and poetry have always been in my loves of my life. I started rapping and writing as a way to express my faith, and in many ways, my passion for creativity is what led me into ministry. I still believe that creativity is one of the most powerful ways to communicate truth and inspire transformation.

A few random things about me:

  • I love superhero movies (definitely more of a Marvel guy than DC).

  • I keep up with NBA basketball, college football, and NFL a bit.

  • I stay loyal to Chicago sports teams—even when it hurts.

  • I like staying active, whether it’s Boxing for fun or just working out.

  • I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and taking the occasional Sunday nap.

Here I look at the Biblical language of Lament and its role in our lives.

Here I unpack a vision for spiritual friendship and our need for friendship connection.
